Based on quotations from the last five years of press releases and earning calls, it is our understanding that Jeff Parker and David Sorrells have had a lot of “dialogue”, “conversations”, “discussions”, and “demos” with “potential” customers about D2D and D2P technology.
For your convenience, we have links to most of the transcripts and audio of the ParkerVision conference calls from late 2004 on. As you can see, we are missing some files and there are mistakes in some of the written transcripts, especially in the caller identification. If you have access to any of the missing files or have other corrections, please email them to pvnotes@gmail.com.
Three independent sources informed us that in 2004/2005, Broadcom was approached by Jeff Parker with an offer to sell either the company or the D2D technology. Broadcom evaluated ParkerVision and its technology. Specifically, the feedback that they provided was that the ParkerVision receiver was not as good as some alternative CMOS chips (ParkerVision uses SiGe, which is much more expensive) and that the D2D technology, while competitive 10 years ago, has been surpassed in performance, cost, power and integration by other approaches.
ParkerVision has the dubious honor of being one of the companies with the highest number of consecutive unprofitable quarters (and years) on the NASDAQ. Over the past 12 years of fully reported annual financials, from 1994 to 2006, ParkerVision has generated negative operating income, net income, and cash flow every year throughout the entire period, and revenue performance has worsened over the past 5 years.
Fundraising History An overview of ParkerVision’s fundraising history is presented. A private placement has occurred at approximately 12 month intervals since 2003, and is anticipated again for the first half of 2008. The stock price is currently being manipulated around its typical peak of $10 - $13. In a few months, we anticipate the stock price to cycle back down towards its “bottom” value of $4, or even lower.
